This is an excellent 1842 model US/H. Aston
percussion pistol stamped "MIDDtn/CONN 1849". It's extremely tight with
a crisp action. There are numerous military cartouches impressed in the
stock and the 8 1/2" barrel is proof stamped "US/J11" with what looks like
an anchor. This is the finest of it's kind I've ever seen.
