THE 1970'S PULSAR L.E.D. COLLECTIBLE WATCHES, 1970 - 1977

 It was The Hamilton/Pulsar Watch Co. that first developed the solid state time computer, LED digital watch.  It was announced as Pulsar on the Johnny Carson Show, The Today Show and the James Bond movie "Live and let Die" and became the rage of the Hollywood elite.  Accurate to a few seconds a year by way of a quartz crystal oscillating 32,768 times per second.  The computer module then translates these oscillations to precise usable increments.  It was necessarily expensive at $500.00 and up.  A lot of money for 1970.  What makes it so collectible is the fame it achieved and the scientific progression to LCD, a simpler and less expensive concept, in just a few short years.  
It's the beginning of an investment stage for the astute collector.

The First LED Computer Watch - Near Mint!
This rare 72' Hamilton watch was introduced prior to Pulsar, who soon seperated from Hamilton.  This watch was stored in a chest until a few weeks ago.  New batteries were installed and it has run great ever since.  You just don't see them in this condition!!

Men's Vintage LED Watch from the 70's
